Thought that would get your attention :emolaugh:  Seriously, though, you know how and what fibro does to our bodies. Now imagine that life in general was fibro. That fender bender you just had, was fibro, not your fibro, just the worlds fibro, you could call it bad luck it would be about the same thing.    That is our life right now. For instance I have to have surgery on a broke finger tomorrow. It's my right pinky, the bone between the knuckles, is twisted, so they have to un-twist it, then put temporary pins in until it heals. Please don't ask, I just really don't want to explain all that. There really is so much more I could discuss in this. Needing another car, Aaron's autism. finances, you name it. The crap coming at us from the outside, is as bad as what fibro does to us internally. So any time you can think to say a prayer for us, it will be appreciated.

Prayers sent my friend!

I am asking for prayers for one of our SAR team members. She posted on facebook a list of meds she has been prescribed and I immediately saw lazy dr syndrome and she has Fibro. The list of meds was almost verbatim what every person I know with fibro has had drs pushed on them rather than actually listening to their patient. When they don't believe even the specialists and just ty and pawn off as depression rather than seeing the depression as a result of fibro not the other way around.
Anyways please pray for her she has been with our SAR team for almost twenty years! Oh and the SAR team had us go to the Christmas dinner which they presented me with a thank you for my years of service with the hope I would still make it back lol

Will certainly be praying for her. It's such a bs way of dealing with pain... essentially throw meds at it and tell you to go back to work. Not right!!!  !@#$%^&*  :emorant:

It's not just the lack of energy put into this, it's that there are so many other things to be tested and checked out and then there's the learning curve on how to manage it day to day and the other modalities that need to be explored. Handing her some scrips is like throwing a drowning person a life preserver and just floating on past. Your job ain't done doc!!  :emocurse:

Let her know she's got a cheering squad on her side. If she can stand the levels of testosterone, she's more than welcome here.

In case I forgot to say it, typing with a finger in a splint is extremely hard. First I have a fluroscope(?) pictures, the two long lines are the pins they stick in to untwist the bone. Twisted like a volume knob, is a good description. It twisted until it broke.

Before Picture, after I had grabbed it and straightened it some.

The next two are pics of the pins sticking out of my finger. I think it;s funny how there is the plastic red and yellow ends on the  pins, I feel like a message board. LOL

I still doesn't hurt any  at all, except when I bump it, or I do something stupid and use tools like screwdrivers, pliers, drills, and yes I have been that stupid. Every damn time, I work when hurt, like I do with fibro flares.

I had some other stuff I wanted to talk about, but it's been a very long week, and I don't remember any of the other stuff, can you believe that? I'll think about it and add it later. Just please don't mark me off the prayer list just yet.

Good thing they didn't have more colors to add.

Did you use a cordless drill to twist & straighten it?

Next installment in this saga, I woke up about 2am this morning (Saturday Christmas eve), I was sitting on the couch, and I had no bandage on that finger, and was missing one of the pins. I found it in the bed. Without going to the ER, there is no way to get anything done until Monday. I am not going to the ER today, I will try to call the answering service later.

Yep, the red one. It was all wrapped up in the bandaging. How did I get it all off without waking up????

Thats not good try to immobilize the area above and below where the pin was, closest joints you don't want it shifting

Robby

@looneylane, I've got it about as immobilized as possible. I'll try to grab a pic of the guard he put on. But, yeah the things that happen to us that isn't our fault. Sometimes, we make bad decisions, like everyone else. but we have more bad "luck" than most people.
