Found this by accident as I was reading an article about osteocrenosis that I never could get full access to.  Might want to do your own search on the term as I only looked at the first link I saw.

Juvenile drematomyositis

Then please comment on whether this might sound familiar in association to your childhood !

These things fit, the others not so much....

  • Gradual muscle weakness (often in the neck, shoulders, trunk, back or hips)
  • Difficulty with everyday activities, such as climbing stairs, standing up, riding a bicycle, getting dressed, lifting the head
  • Frequently falling down
  • Weak voice (dysphonia)
  • Sore and swollen joints
  • Fatigue
  • ''To a very small amount) Lung problems (because of inflammation and thickening of small airways in lungs)
  • affected age this document says up to age 15, mine never went away.

Basically for me, look at adult fibro symptoms, that is what I experienced from age 6 or before, until now.

I will put you in the trunk, and help people look for you, DON'T TEST ME.

I think that's what they meant, age of activation & initial symptoms.  You gave us that info so we'll wait for some more responses.
