Yeah!! Check it out. "with highest honors" means he had a 4.0 GPA. Now onto 2 more years :yikes:

Times are tough when "Happy Hour" is your nap.
My mind not only wanders, sometimes it leaves completely!

Thanks guys. I'm very proud of my son for doing this.

He only had an 8th grade education when we took him out of school. LONE STORY

But I kept talking to him and pushing.

So he finally went on his own (even after he told me he has major social anxiety) But he did it anyway on his own to get a GED. Scored so high on that it was wild.

Then he went on his own and signed up for college and now he has an Associates degree.

He wants to become a nurse and help people, so if we can keep it together here for him he will be a Top nurse.

He has also been diagnosed with severe ADHD. So I hope the doctors don't screw him up.

One more BIG DEAL to share, he took this exam to get into Nursing school. And he was so worried about it. Because depending on your score on the test determines which school he can attend.

He got a 95 on the test. THAT IS THE HIGHEST SCORE EVER IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA!!!

I've got to make it thru until he gets done with school and is set up in life. And my job will be done.

Then I can let go of this GUILT that I feel for not being a better father. One thing that makes me feel a little better when I'm down, is that I'm here! Trying. My father left before I was born, and he lived 20 minutes away but never wrote or called. I just didn't exist to him.

Wow!! We're so proud of the job you've done under very hard conditions. Thank you for continuing to love him. That's the most important part of parenting that we often forget that we're doing and only focus on the things that went wrong. You're doing a good job, bro. Just keep hanging in. :bighug:
