Oh man.. I woke up this morning with horrendous pain in my side under my ribcage about where my spleen and pancreas are located. The pain is brutal, and the first time I've had this. Has anyone else had this kind of pain that feels more viseral than muscle?  I guess if it continues the visiting nurse can see me tomorrow and decide with me what to do. Your opinions make a difference to me!
If I hurt, at least I know I'm still alive!

:(   Bummer.........I haven't had that exact pain I don't think. But I also have pains that come and go. If you still have it tomorrow see the nurse.  ron

Andrew.. what ended up happening with this.  I have not experienced this problem but it would be good for us to have a follow-up for future reference... well that and I worry about you. ;)

I have had that and pain on the other side.
I have also had pain that went across the chest along the diaphragm to the point i though i had a kidney stone.

They last for a couple weeks and 800 mg ibuprofen works for the pain.
Ibuprofen does nothing for my fibro pain so i link this inflammation from my sarcoidosis.

If i remember right you have sarcoidosis also

I have that along the diaphragm and when it works to that magic place in the back of the lower right ribs it feels like I can barely breathe.

Of course it goes around the abdominal cavity too in the usual wax and wane manner, and even down the center of the abdomen.
