I came across a site called patientslikeme after hearing about it on the radio, .  The site is about information sharing to attain faster better treatments, bypassing the strict formal publication process for medical trials.  The downside of course is that due to this model, the results need to be treated with some caution.

For fibromyalgia it has compiled this list, with ratings on each treatment and its effectiveness

Interesting outcomes.  As you can see from the data, we're a wild bunch to treat.  Most everything gives a good percentage of folks some nasty side effects and there seems to be a major shotgun approach to fixing things.  I mean, if I took a med for each of my symptoms, I'd me plum out of room for all my meds.  Some things we just end up doing the best we can with.

Was glad to see that massage and it's spinoffs got such good positive results.  I know so many folks here can't deal with massage due to the touch sensitivity, it just makes me feel more fortunate than ever that I can be massaged though that took finding a med for it to work.  Crazy disease this fibromyalgia!!  Absolutely crazy!!  :insane:
