Tanning beds. Seriously with the shorter winter days, a good shot of UV rads picks up my mood and makes the muscle pain receede a bit. The added Vitamin D production is good too.

My understanding is, and my experience shows, that the "low" beds (those that don't tan as well) have the most beneficial UV rads.

Ask Santa for a gift card. It's cheap and worth a shot.

My parents always do this just before they head off to Cuba for their winter break...  We call it "giving us the tan" as opposed to giving us the finger... seeings as we haven't seen warm climes in 14 years and my wife has never been on a plane larger than a Cessna 152...  {sigh}

Don't mind me, just busy watching my wife shovel the sidewalk again today and wishing I could jet her off to some exotic locale for a vacation.

As to the tan beds... yeah, they do OK for Vitamin D but I'm not so sure I'll be lying down on one seeing as the percentages of folks who use them who end up suffering from one form or another of skin cancer is pretty scary!!  Let's just say there seems to be a side effect and leave it at that.
