My wife is a life-long Cub fan.     While that appears to be not so bad anymore, you have a long way to go before you will get much sympathy.

I had a similar life experience growing up in Detroit.  After years of great hockey, the Redwings went through some rebuilding years.  They brought in some hot shot college coach, Ned Harkness.  I still remember signs in the audience "the house that Ned wrecked".  It took awhile for it to get so bad that the franchise was sold to the current owner, the Little Ceasar guy.  He also bought the Tigers after a similar experience where the new owner though a football coach would make a great manager of a baseball team.

Oh well, these are just toys for the rich to play with..............

Makes you wonder what it would be like to work with them.
