The final illness

I found an article that describes Cachexia (wasting syndrome) that way.

Kinda depressing tital.
Basically over eating does no good,and it's expensive.
It eats fat and muscel.
Unfortunately it also causes FATIGUE.

It's called the final illness because it often comes at the tail end of a lifetime with chronic illness.
I hope that spring wasn't my last hoorah.


Anyway,if it is the last,I guess I can relax now.
If only...

That's what he(the doc) said I have.
Only once before have I been this thin.that's when this whole thing started 45 years ago.
Then I plumped back out pretty fast,this time not so much.
Oh well.
Dats how the cookie crumbles.

It didn't say fatal,and the tickers good so don't worry about that.  

There different kinds and causes: HIV neg. And no cancer...
Assuming the docs know anything at all.
So that leaves me with the other: just the culmination of a lot of suffering.
I could feel it happening. Could feel me wearing out...
No! Not a straping young lad like you...well,I guess it's finally visable.

You see how bad that tital makes it sound though.
Just kinda bummed me out.

At first it looked like Eric was stepping back, then he fell like a tree.
Flat on his back,breaking a glass table with his neck then cutting his head on the edge.
Only out for a second,I had to step back quick to avoid being knocked over myself he got up so fast.
He's at ER now but what I'm worried about is his blacking out like that.
He was blown up a number of times. Close enough to to catch shrapnel.
And once he did.
It was the last one that did the damage.
Oh,he went right back to work but by the time re-up came round the pain drove him out.

He seem sure he had a concussion and along with past concussions...
I'm really worried.
I don't want to live without him.

I got to stay home with Aria.
He don't often leave home without her. She went a little bonkers at first,but I explained to her that her daddy's gone to the doctor,just like you did,Remember?
He'll be back,don't worry.

I wish she would call already.

After several hours at ER he came home. unseen.
The cut did not go in toward the skull,rather sliced into the scalp.
Don't seem to need stitches looking at it that way...I guess.
Anyway it's not getting any.
I don't know bout these guys.

He promised to see a doc about the blackout.
When he gets one

The 1/2 plate glass table top had a crack in it.
If it hadn't the glass would not have broken.
But his neck may have.

Funny thing, nobody knows how that crack got there.

Epilepsy of all types can be caused by TBI. one type of epilepsy looks like someone just blacks out and can be life threatening if the person falls in a way that blocks the airway.
