No not that kind, the lawn. I got out and mowed the front yard today, boy does it look better. I hadn't been able to even finish raking leaves from last year, so I mowed them! I don't know if most of the U.S. with all the cold and the snow would realize that here in the Pacific Northwest is having early spring. Wet and warm, today was so sunny that I felt guilty not doing something, listening to all the mowers . I'll pay tomorrow, but mentally I scored a small push against Fibro today.

Glad you felt like doing something and that you felt such pleasure after you had done the lawn.

We are living in a dust bowl, and only the weeds need mowing.

I here by give you permission to take the rest of the week off to relax and enjoy your efforts.

Cheers

WM, I have never raked leaves, it doesn't look as nice as raking, but mulching the leaves as you did actually fertilizes the yard providing food and nutrients for the next years grass. Besides, I've always been too lazy to rake  :yikes:

I will put you in the trunk, and help people look for you, DON'T TEST ME.

I haven't seen grass for months, it's buried under 18" of snow. Temperatures in double digits below zero. I can't wait to cut the grass!!! Or at least see it!!!

ronr

I'm with willie . . . no grass here unless the wind blew the snow away when it started sooooo long ago.  Then the snow is in piles elsewhere with temps below freezing for what seems like forever.

Good deal on your mowing, and having the sense to not try to do it all.
Times are tough when "Happy Hour" is your nap.
My mind not only wanders, sometimes it leaves completely!

Grass is showing and some plants budding here!

willie

My neighbor has been using his leaf blower all winter to blow the snow out of his driveway. He even does the road in front of his house.

With California's epic drought in it's fourth year, I'm letting my front yard die off this year.   I'll water the wisteria, roses, and pomegranates, but the grass will die off. I think I'll put up a small sign in the front yard "Blame it on the rain".

I will keep my back yard garden alive and hopefully thriving though. Grow local, eat local as best I can. Less carbon footprint, and more efficient water use than the big farms.

Hey look at it this way - less yardwork.  :laughbounce2:
