Title: Possible new chat methods
Post by: Robby on December 09, 2015, 04:51:19 PM
As everyone knows the chat system has been turned off, but if anyone wants to chat, I will throw my phone number for texting or talking, or there is Skype I have an account but will have to reinstall.

Of course it doesn't have to be with me, I'm just saying I'm available if nobody else is interested.

The chat room has not been turned off!

Anyone that wants to chat needs to set a time with others or somehow notify them with pm etc, sign in, and have at it.  I signed in just now to see that it is still working but too much talking to myself is probably not good from what I hear.  Of course I don't listen to all the voices in my head either.

There are many ways to chat nowadays but unless long distance charges are an issue, phoning is still the best way to have a conversation that squeezes the most content into the shortest time in my opinion unless you have multiple parties all in on the conversation.

If you need someone to talk to I'm available.

I'm sorry, once again I said something in a broad manner, and made it sound like I meant it specifically. I just meant it's not used.

Also I was scrolling through the board and when I saw the chat room, I had the thought that I would make a post with the offer to talk, hoping it would inspire others to also join in. I wasn't trying to get a conversation going, just get some interest in chatting started.

I personally like Skype as you can have a number of callers at once, and I think even few videos at the same time but that is where the limit is. I think talking is like 15 callers at a time, and it is all for free.

If anyone does feel like chatting, pm me and I'll give you my skype number, or my phone number whatever, I wouldn't mind talking right about now.
