Many of you know I have two grandkids the oldest is 16 and the little guy is 4. He is Autistic and has communication issues at times. I love this little guy so much it has taken a lot of work but he has worked his way to being able to communicate very well. We went to watch him a few days ago as mom is working days and dad works nights this week it was a blast and we really had good quality time though he was mad because poppa ha d to go out for a bit. As soon as I got back he grabbed my hand and took me to the couch to sit with him I guess he was very unhappy I left but still behaved himself. My wife had to drop our granddaughter off and he rushed to the door asking "where Poppa?" but I had to work so he was sad but gave Grandma extra hugs. Being a dad and Grampa makes the pain feel not so overwhelming for awhile.

Times are tough when "Happy Hour" is your nap.
My mind not only wanders, sometimes it leaves completely!

Yeah. Some days it's all you can do to breathe until the grandkids arrive. Somehow, they just give us a little extra energy... kind of a grandkid infusion. They are totally worth the exhaustion that follows.  :blue thumbs up:
