Mock Fried Ice Cream

Mock Fried Ice Cream

2 cups crushed plain cereal (Rice Crispies or Corn Flakes)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

Microwave on high for approximately 2-3 minutes (it might take some testing depending on your microwave's strength) until the sugar starts to crystallize slightly.  You'll feel it when you stir it as it has a thicker consistency.

Let cool to harden the mixture.

Sprinkle over ice cream.  Top with Caramel sauce, whipped cream, and of course, the obligatory cherry.

Enjoy!!!!

You can make up scads of this stuff and store in a Ziploc bag in the fridge for when you suddenly get a craving.  
Trust me, you'll want more.. it's totally addicting!!

Tried to talk the wife into trying to make it, but she said that it would make my cardio dr. pass the kind of gas that would explode.  'Her exact wording'.   But damn, it does sound soooooo good.  : :( :

Well.. you don't have to use the whole lot on one scoop of ice cream!!  :lmao:  What's there is good for quite a few servings.. not too sure how much but we only sprinkle it on top.  :lmao:

That's funny... tonight is our Mexican night of the week and Jo is downstairs making this up.  :lmao:  Hope you enjoy it!!  We've cursed many people with this recipe... It's a curse 'cause there's few things quite as delicious and easy to make and when you don't have any...  Well.. you know. ;)

Sounds nice but i would have to cut the sugar down by half now i am type 2 D i have lost my sweet tooth and sweet thing are too sweet for me i mean sickie sweet.

Isn't sugar one of the main food groups?
Times are tough when "Happy Hour" is your nap.
